i can't believe it myself, but i think i like this iron & wine cover of love vigilantes more than i like the new order version.

the original has always been one of my favorites, but this cover is more endearing. more emotional. it captures the true feelings of the song more honestly.

i never noticed how tragic the last verse was until i started listening to this version. i always just got lost in the beat and sang along to the chorus. but this stripped down acoustic version lets the lyrics shine through. and it's heart breaking.
